Overview

MG Properties Group is looking to hire a Risk Management Coordinator, to work under the supervision of the Director of Risk Management (DRM). 

The Risk Management Coordinator will work with the DRM to ensure operational and safety compliance, oversee loss prevention, and risk management at all properties within the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Assist DRM with Corporate Safety Committee; Maintains accurate tracking and file systems of all incidents and Reports relevant updates and recommendations. Tracks all insurance claim reimbursements and payment to determine success of the claim’s management process.
  • Assist the DRM in the renewal process for company-wide insurance coverage and provide feedback and recommendations on in the company’s insurance programs based (property & casualty, D&O, E&O, environmental, flood, auto, EPLI, and others)
  • Assist DRM with the brokers, insurance carriers, and Risk Management Industry
  • Assist the DRM in the management of all property & casualty Insurance claims: review, investigate, and handle the day-to-day handling of company-wide claims including confirming or denying coverage, Identifying subrogation opportunities, and settlement of Claims. Tracks costs against reimbursements and ensures maximum recovery.
  • Continuing to improve risk management procedures and enhancements to company-wide processes to strengthen risk management practices and minimize loses. Ensure safety policies are practiced consistently on site.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify, manage, and mitigate areas of risk that may arise from inadequate or failed internal processes to strengthen risk management capabilities.
  • Assist the DRM in developing, leading, and maintaining a “best-in class” risk management program.
  • Maintain and enhance Risk Management Database system containing pertinent information about portfolio, coverage, and claim history.
  • Analyze loss information to proactively identify trends and provide DRM reporting of risk management data and statistics.
  • Assists on special projects such as acquisitions due diligence and post-closing matters.

Qualifications

  • Requires minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Property Management Operations, Insurance Claims Administration and/or Risk Prevention or other related experience.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess good analytical, oral, and written communication skills and coordinate many simultaneous activities.
  • Ability to interpret, evaluate and communicate detailed written or verbal instructions to others accurately and quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
